Our brand new yoga platform has space for about 15 practitioners at a time. We have Manduka mats, cork blocks, straps, eye pillows, bolsters, and a rocking BOSE sound system. We also have a custom rope wall designed and built by Karl Spaeth.

Feel free to use the space and props on your own, hire a private instructor, jump into a community class, or even host you own retreat here with us.

Sophia Boedecker

Sophia Boedecker first did her 200 hr teacher training at Nosara Yoga Institute 7 years ago. She has continually returned to Nosara to learn and has received 750 hours in training from NYI.  Over the years of returning to Costa Rica  she fell in love. Patitos was born as a way for her to always return to this amazing place and to share the beauty and magic with  others.

Her style of teaching is inspired by her own life experiences. She has used yoga to overcome addiction, emotional struggles, and physical injury.

Her strong passion for our planet, dance, and individual self expression is woven deep into her teachings.

Sophia is always working to inspire people to take better care of this planet, live true to yourself, and creating a sacred relationship with yourself.

She leads retreats at Patitos a few times a year, teaches classes and leads free flow dance experiences when she is in town.

Feel free to e mail her with any questions about Patitos, yoga, or just life in general.

Nikita Fowler

My roots are planted in British Colombian soil, but I currently dwell in the jungle, close to Sea, off the Pacific of Costa Rica. A little Yoga & Surf Hub called Nosara. Here, I teach public classes, assist Teacher Trainings and offer Private/Semi-Private Yoga sessions and Pranassage sessions.

I stumbled (that is usually how I get around) upon this practice to heal injury from years of competitive soccer and running. I was also coaxed by a friend, I'm easily coaxed. It created balance within. I soon realized that this life long journey of Yoga was not only a physical tool, but a deep inquiry into the Self. Seeing things as they really are. Experience unfolding moment to moment. Its BIG. I am realizing the power of this sacred practice, the energetic gifts and support it gives me off my mat. And I see this  in my students.

I wish to hold you.. then to transport you from your mind, into your body each class by using the breath to wash, then scrub, every cell of your being. Igniting your own passion and authenticity to be your biggest and brightest. We are in this together. With emphasis on alignment and a balance of lightness in your heart, my playful sequences may leave you feeling all the feelings on the spectrum, maybe dewy, or even down right SWEATY. You may feel pushed to dance at your edges or completely at ease with staying in child’s pose all class. Anything goes when you show up for you. Be Brilliant, because you are.
